Hilary Koster

The pieces in Hilary Koster's collection look like they are made of crochet lace but they are actually made of crochet metal. The use of metal makes her collection very unique. The pieces look delicate but they are strong. The pieces are casual enough for day wear and sophisticated for evening wear. Hilary Koster is also offering free shipping today so be sure to check it out!!

Nervous System

Nervous System uses some unique materials to make their collection. From silicone rubber necklaces to nylon plastic rings. My personal favorite is the 2-layer twist ring from the cell cycle collection. The mesh style gives the ring a simple organic feel but the nylon plastic material gives it an industrial look. I imagine the ring to be flexible and light on the finger making it great for everyday wear. The choice of white or black color make it appeal to the all and the sterling silver version is the one we all will crave. You can purchase from the Nervous System Etsy shop but there are many more of Nervous Systems interesting pieces on their website.

AdornJewelry's Moss collection will definitely get you a few questions to answer, "Is that real moss? Do you have to water it and give it sunlight? Can I feel it?" It is not real moss so it does not require water and sunlight but it looks very real and it will definitely get some double takes. These pieces are so unique and innovative and are a great fashion piece to go with the saying that "green is the new black." These pieces would make a great present for the Earth Lover as well as any fashionista wanting to make a statement. My personal favorite is the Set in Stone Moss Ring.

Flora Bond

After ordering my flora necklace from White Owl, I decided to do an Etsy search using my name "Flora" to see what would come up. By doing this search I found these amazing bib necklaces by Flora Bond. Not suprisingly the bib necklaces have also been included in the Lucky Magazine Picks Etsy Gift Guides. Flora Bond describes the pieces as "vintage glamour with a modern twist" and I think that is a perfect way to describe them. These necklaces make a bold statement and would be the perfect accessory for that special occassion when you're wearing your favorite little black dress.

WHITE OWL by spivak & spivak

I was immediately drawn to the White Owl Etsy store when I saw listed on Etsy's front page a lovely lace necklace simply named flora. I wore it to work the day after I received it in the mail and received so many compliments. People kept asking me if it was part of my shirt and they were amazed that it was a necklace. White Owl's pieces look classicly vintage and can make any outfit glamourous and the wearer feel beatiful. The pieces take on a personality all their own.

These pieces from Bijoudally store on Etsy look like they are made from metal, but they are not, they are actually laser cut leather! I have been obsessing over the bracelets for weeks now and I'm now equally obsessing over the Bouquet Necklace! I love the fact that the bracelets connect with a magnetic clasp making them easy to put on yourself and you can send your arm measurements to ensure a comfortable fit. Bijoudally's use of leather is something very unusual, unique and beatifu making each piece a perfect combination of feminine and tough.

The moment I saw this crustacean cocktail ring in the Pipertree Etsy store I was in love! This ring is definitely not for the faint of heart! These are real quartz crystals rested atop a real shell, I have never seen a ring such as this before. I started following Pipertree because of her also amazing crystal necklaces and how she describes each crystals powers. There's nothing better then a piece of statement jewelry with a symbol behind it. Her pieces are definite conversation pieces and can be worn from the fashionista to the geologist! I can't wait to order one for myself!

When I ordered my Diamond-like silver studs from Minicyn on Etsy it was because I wanted a pair of earrings that were basic enough that I could wear them everyday but with an edge so they weren't like what everyone else was wearing and that is exactly what I got! Even though they are a small piece they get a big reaction. Minicyn's collection is the perfect example of taking a basic style but giving it enough of a twist that you could wear it to your corporate job and also for a night out.

I currently own 2 necklaces from thelovelythings on Etsy and everytime I wear them people stop me to ask me about them and want to touch them. thelovelythings has such a wide variety of patterns and colors that you can easily own multiples. The wrapping style is carried throughout the collection making it so hard to decide which ones to buy!! Each piece is so versatile, yet unique and simple.

A few months ago I found this amazing Cellular necklace by brevity. and I was lucky enough to have a birthday shortly after and my sister bought me this necklace as a present. Everytime I wear it people ask me about it and stare at it. There are many other pieces in the brevity. collection that are equally interesting, definitely check it out! brevity.

I have always loved jewelry and I own a lot of it. I am constantly looking at it and buying it from all different places. People always ask me about my jewelry and where I buy it from and I have become known for it. I thought I would start this blog so I can post interesting pieces that I find and where I found the piece as a resource to other people who also love jewelry. Enjoy!
