Zebra Finch

I was walking through the Brooklyn Flea Gifted show and I spotted this rack of beautiful headbands by Zebra Finch. Hair accessories are like jewelry for your hair, the same way a great necklace can dress up a plain outfit, a great hair accessory can dress up a plain ponytail. Zebra Finch makes these lovely hair accessories using all different types of materials. The materials can be vintage milinery feathers, flowers, netting and sometimes even taken apart already destroyed hats from the 20's - 40's. Sandra Baker (the designer) is currently working on the new Spring line and will be filling her Etsy store up with her new creations soon. Wrecords by Monkey - Vinyl Record Cameo Necklace

Using reclaimed vinyl records, Wrecords by Monkey has designed a collection of jewelry that is a mix of urban and rock n' roll. Best known for their bracelet collection, their cameo necklace stopped me in my tracks at the Brooklyn Flea Gifted show. The classic cameo design is redesigned aming it younger and more hip. It's a perfect combination that satisfies both my love of vintage and contemporary jewelry. Not only is the entire collection unique and stylish but it it is also green making Wrecords by Monkey a collection for everyone.

A.S.I.S. (angela spencers irresistible stuff)

When Angela Spencer the designer of A.S.I.S named her cashmere and stainless steel necklace collection "Hardcore Softy" she hit the nail on the head. I love these necklaces mostly because of the contrast between the warm, soft cashmere and the cold, hard stainless steel but also because they're tough and feminine at the same time.

Melody's Addiction

I was walking around the Brooklyn Flea Market Gifted Holiday Market and I couldn't help but stop to look at Melody's Addiction leather ruffle hoop earrings. These funky earrings will add a bold pop to any outfit. They are the perfect addition to your earring collection as those unique earrings you wear on those special days when you want to add a little more color and fun without going overboard. Vacation

Hello Readers,

I will not be making anymore posts until after the holiday. I will be travelling to Arizona to spend the holiday with some of my family. I will be checking out some jewelry while I'm there for future posts. This past weekend I checked out the Brooklyn Flea Gifted show on 4th and Lafayette and saw some amazing jewelry that I am excited to post about (jewelry made from old records, leather necklaces, ruffle leather earrings, porcelain pendants, crochet cashmere with chains....). If you are in the NYC area I definitely recommend checking it out, it ends Wednesday night the 23rd at 9:00.
